Celebrity News: Orange Rising Star Awards nominees announced



The awards season is well and truly here and the next few weeks the news pages are full of celebrity listsof nominations, wins, losses and fabulous red carpet fashion. However, an annual honor roll has risen ahead of others to praise new Hollywood talent with a bright future.

The Orange Rising Star Award is in its sixth year and has collected a handful of the best acting talents have appeared on the screens in the last 12 months. Each of the candidates not only has at least one great performance in his CV, but could also have enormous potential careers ahead of them with some interesting projects in the works. Previous winners have included James McAvoy, Kristen Stewart and Shia LeBeouf, below are the nominees for 2011.

Gemma Arterton
She may be known for her appearance as a Bond girl in Quantum Of Solace, but Miss Arterton has not wasted any time in making a name for itself. Last year she appeared in blockbuster Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and the Clash of the Titans, but was also busy checking their credentials by the drama of the disappearance of Alice Creed and Tamara Drewe.

Andrew Garfield
Along with Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake, Garfield shone last year in David Fincher's Social Network - a film that looks set to collect more than their fair share of nominations for awards in the coming weeks. However, the actor prepares for a moment in his career, the definition in 2012, when he takes over for Tobey Maguire in the next reboot of Spider-man.

Emma Stone
Ms. Stone also have the opportunity to become a household name in the previous superhero movie when it finally arrives as Gwen Stacey, the love interest of neighborhood wall-crawler spandex dress. In the past, however, sassy performances in Superbad, Zombieland and, more recently, Easy To have become a familiar face to many.

Tom Hardy
The great virtual one-man film that Bronson in 2008 was less than a biography of its owner ant-hero and more than a showcase for unknown talent Hardy. It seems that Hollywood was paying attention and the actor has worked with Christopher Nolan in the super hit of 2010 Inception. Expected to replace Mel Gibson as Mad Max Fury Road in a remake subtitled, Hardy is one of the most interesting British stars out there.

Aaron Johnson
Originally tipped for the role of Spider-Man before it was offered to Andrew Garfield, Aaron Johnson made his own impact on the film world in 2010 with his starring role in Kick Ass. However, their performance profile for a little less high in John Lennon biography Nowhere Boy Chat teen drama also earned him serious attention.

The winner of Wednesday's Orange Rising Star Award will be announced on February 13, until then, keep an eye on the celebrity gossip columns to see if any of the contestants was out and about acting like true Hollywood royalty.

    Yes !! they all had performed well in their tenure and have deserved the best honor for it. I really like all of them as they are the real winners.
